[NaPoWriMo 2015] Happy.

This is for the first prompt: a poem of negation.

Happy.

It is the equivalent of flipping the end parenthesis. This does not come to mind when defeated by your enemies. It is not encompassing of all the horrible things in life. This does not engulf you when you become his wife. It is not something that stays indefinitely; This does not mean you cannot have it constantly. It is not what you feel when emotions are in disarray. This does not mean all the troubles go away. It is not what you should strive for all the time. This does not occur when something doesn’t rhyme. It is not what you experience when the end is near; This does not mean you never wanted it to happen.
