Chi Señires

Hello, 2016.

It’s been a while since I last posted in this blog. I haven’t felt the urge to write last semester, and I also did not see the need to write things down.

But now, I sorta do.

Hello also to you, whoever’s reading this. I’m not exactly the type of person who easily connects to people I just meet on the Internet. I really just don’t know what to say—my awkwardness knows no bounds, apparently.

To be honest, I don’t really know what to write here. I just… feel like writing, that’s all. I like typing things out, and lately I know that I need to do that more often. I have thesis this year, which calls for me to write stuff out (so writing random posts in English may actually be helpful for me to practice my grammar and writing style), and I’m also part of our org’s publication. (You should go check it out! We have cool IT-related and not-IT-related stuff there. :) )

Anyway, going back to what I wanted to… say? Write? I guess I just wanted to document this idea that I have in mind.

I want to write more, is what I’m saying. I’ve said this to myself a couple of times already last year, and even the year before that. I’ve always had a hard time committing myself to certain things that needed to be updated at a constant pace. I think it stems from the fact that I’m a person that loves starting things, but has a hard time finishing them. (Hello, group projects from way before. Hello also, to old comics and stories I attempted to do.)

But now, I want to try and challenge myself. I want to try and develop this habit of just writing stuff out (and correct my grammar along the way!) so that I find another productive thing to do. I’ve always loved the thought of creating things. And because I’m on my laptop almost every day, then I might as well try and keep this blog running for as long as possible.

I started this around 3 years ago, and it was another reboot of several other blogs I’ve tried to start, but lost interest in doing because of reasons. They never lasted a year. But since this is still around… I think I can do something about it.

And what will I do? What will I write about? Will I continue my poetry? Write some fiction? Continue making sappy personal posts?

Well, for starters, I’ll do all the things I mentioned above. Or, I’ll just do what I feel like doing. I see a lot of successful people who just do what they do, and they all look happy doing whatever it is that they’re doing. I want to try and do what they’re doing, which is to do what I want to do. (That’s a lot of ‘do’s. I hope I actually follow through.)

There are times when I felt like, “whoa, this game is super cool! I love this and that, but I think this could be better,” and I thought, hey, that would be perfect for a game review! And I got pretty excited with the thought of doing that.

There’s also my poetry, which I haven’t really… tried to improve on. I just kept on doing the “no rhymes, just feelings” kind of deal. That’s nice… for some. But for almost all my poems? No. I don’t want to look back and think, “man, I was so sappy and emotional then.” I have done that countless times while looking through my past posts in this blog. You will, too, if you go through my poetry. I’m a sappy love poet.

This is getting pretty long, and a voice in my mind is telling me to go back to studying stuff for my thesis (which is sorta due in a few days because of opportunities! Hehe). I’ll just leave this list here for some kind of reference on what to expect here:

  • more poetry - this was where I kept my musings, so I’ll try to make more of those sappy love poems. Or make some other kind of non-love poems.

  • my thoughts on certain games, movies, books, music videos (?) - I’ve been wanting to do this for a while now, so there’s that.

  • projects I’ve been wanting to try…? - Or you know, just promote the stuff I already have, like my art blog and this personal art project I haven’t gotten back to since God knows how long!

Well, there’s that. I hope I pull through with the plans I have in mind. Thanks for stopping by!
