Rhythm Typer: Cute CS project turned browser game
I saw this recommended in my YouTube algorithm and watched it:
It’s so cool! It’s called Rhythm Typer, and you can access it in the browser! You’d need to log in using your Google account, if ever. For now it’s more of a thing you open on desktop rather than on mobile, as I initially loaded it on my phone earlier while watching the video and then just sent it to my PC to test it out.
It has everything a rhythm game usually has: the actual rhythm game, some beatmaps, a leaderboard ranking, and also a way to make your own beatmaps. Neat!
It only took a little while for me to find the beatmap shown in the video which I associate with the 3d-dancing rat 😆
This is the beatmap: chess (slowed down & cut ver.)
And the rat in question:
My first try got me a C score, with 3pp 🥲

Then I looked for a bunch more beatmaps and eventually saw a beatmap for an OPM song!

This is the song if you’d like to check it out:
This is cool. Also checked out the Discord and I think it was just made like, 2-3 days ago wild 😆
Anyway, I think it’s cool, even though I’m not really the best at rhythm games. I just like ‘em, but that doesn’t mean I’m any good :))
I’ll see if I ever manage to get a better score at this after I get back from my parent’s house for the New Year holidays as I won’t be bringing a laptop this time. 😆
Also just leaving a link to my Rhythm Typer profile here for the lulz :))
