Weeknotes: 2026-01
I’ve been seeing this type of post format for a while in various blogs I’ve explored the past few years, and while I initially tried to make my own spin on it with #8to, it feels less sustainable to me in the short term and I feel some sort of pressure to “conform” to the self-inflicted structure I placed before when I tried starting this a few months back.
So for now, I’ll just try to keep this up for as long as I can so I can say to myself, “I update my website every week.” hehe
Meta commentary of the weeknotes (before I start actually writing about the things that happened this week): I’ll try to just split things up with <hr> tags so at least the chunks are somewhat organized + I wouldn’t need to have a header for each and every section. All for lessening the pressure to “stick to” one type of format.
Will also try to remind myself to write casually and not just force myself to go full English all the time. It’s some subconscious thing I have considering I do want my content to be accessible to more people, but at the same time… I’d like for there to be more Filipino content in the web, not just in Facebook / Twitter / Instagram / wherever. So this is my attempt to add to it.

Okay, time to write the rest of it.
I spent the first day of the new year tinkering with my website and finally finished the initial foundation for eventually cleaning my Archive. It’s not yet to the level that I’m happy with, but it’s at a state where at least I can continue on improving it, but the actual contents are now gonna be left untouched for the most part.
I’m also happy at least that the redirects setup in Astro works like a charm. I might just need to add a rendered page for when the redirect happens, as right now it just shows as an unformatted page 😆 ah well, another future improvement 😁
I started playing Date Everything! and the whole concept of it is so funny and amusing to me. 😆 I also learned that one of the voice actors in the game is none other than Ben Starr! Yet again Verso/Jimbo finds his way into other games 😝

I already got to talk to and unlocked a collectable for the sex toy lmao it was a very interesting experience! I also was in the middle of romancing the Bed—with her name as Betty, aptly named lol—but lowbatt na Steam Deck nun while I was at my parents’ house so hindi ko na rin siya naexplore further than the first few times to flirt with her hahahaWe also got a bunch of new furniture sa bahay, and I’m happy to report that we finally have some framed posters and photos that are stuck on our condo walls 😁
Maybe once we have all the posters we’ve been keeping since the start of last year framed, I’ll share how it looks here so I also will be leaving myself some things to look back to as I continuously update this website 😄
I saw my family and some relatives of mine a bunch of times this week, as is our usual tradition of having a reunion during New Year’s over at my lola’s place. Me and my cousins weren’t complete, but it was nice to see them again after so long. I finally even got to meet 2 of my pamangkins, babies of 2 of my cousins 😆 Even got to hold them up for a bit, though I didn’t do it for long as I also didn’t want to risk the baby getting sick or whatever.
Okay! that’s it for now. I’ll do my best to keep this up as much as I can, but like what Martin Wright wrote in his own reasons for why he does weeknotes, if I miss a week, it’s fine. I’ll just do it again!
I’ll just have to figure out whether I’ll number these based on the total number of weeknotes, regardless of what week number it is, or if I’ll pertain to the week number of the year to enumerate them. Maybe I’ll go with the former. I’ll see in the future. 😁
