A collection of links to cool websites by cool people, in no particular order!
Some of them are here because I like their websites, and others could be because I read some of their posts from time to time.
Will try to add notes to all to also share what initially got me to just save a link to their website somewhere 😄
This website is super duper cute and cool and also very creative!! I aspire for this kind of vibe
One of the first few websites I got to explore when I was still exploring the fediverse and I fell in love with all the random yet relatable things here, definitely one of my inspirations for the ideal kind of personal website!
Another super duper cute and cool website who I learned also had an OMG.LOL account. Also another inspiration for the kind of personal website I'd like to have! Also happy to see that I've seen a previous version of this website that isn't the same with how it's laid out now, seeing the evolution of it hehe
Another blog and personal website that serves as an inspiration for my own website! Initially got curious with his iOS Shortcuts library, and after seeing it for a while it ended up with me also getting into Shortcuts more 😁
I found the button/badge grid endearing and a nice throwback to the time when so many other sites had that by default. Nowadays it’s not as popular now, but I like that she has some on her site.
I love how personalized her website is and I wanted to learn more about accessibility for websites!
A super simple website with great reads.
I know Apple IRL and I'm happy to see her also writing on her own side of the internet 💖
I know Ia IRL and super love her work! A real part of the inspiration from way back before I even knew about IndieWeb existing 😆 Also a good friend 😄
I found his site super cool, especially with the parts of his site seemingly connected to APIs of different apps, like with Spotify data. I like those kinds of integrations so I would like to also emulate it on my personal site someday 😆
I found it cool that his website is very loud, yet also unapologetically what it is now. There’s also so many pages and things to look through, I saved his website so I could explore it from time to time.
I love how very out there their website is, and it also reminded me of the old fansites that used to exist in the late 2000's and early 2010's, especially with all the anime references hahaha
I love the minimalist terminal-like approach to his website, another source of inspiration for me
His site is so very poster-y and magazine-y + lots of interesting posts and articles, another really great website
I initially saw his blog post after seeing his article on a 100 list of things to do for your website, and even the other 100 more that he listed. I still do aspire to get back to that list and do some of 'em, and I also like how many (hidden) pages he has in his website.
I super duper love the terminal style and I’m such a sucker for monospaced fonts; I immediately saved his website as a source of inspiration 😆
Personally I saved her website because of the early 2010’s? or late 2000’s? aesthetic that reminded me of the websites I used to frequent when I was a kid. Her site is also suuuuper duper personalized, and serves as an inspiration of how I could also make my website to be.
I initially saw his blog from a shared article and figured I’d save his website since the style was simple, but it does the job really well.
When I saw her website I found it suuuuper duper cute and another source of inspiration, particularly the games section and even the way some of her posts are styled like chat bubbles! I find that pretty neat and I resonate with that kind of way of writing haha
Her website is styled just like a desktop!! It's super cool!! Posts show up in windows! She has a Settings modal! You can move stuff around like it's your own desktop!! Amaze ✨
I stumbled upon one article of his from a newsletter I'm subbed to and found his personal website to be pretty unique. Another source of inspiration!
I found his website after following a link from anh's inspiration for her own media library, and also found the rest of his website neat!
I initially stumbled upon his website after getting linked by anh (again! XD) while I was thinking of other things I could modify on my website. After seeing his website though I’m amazed with how well-put-together everything is, where it’s his posts feed on the left and the rest of his info are condensed on a sidebar on the right. Very clean!
Man... I love her website!!!! Wow!!! I can’t. There’s so many things... so many things here that I could just lose myself in the numerous pages and articles. I also love that she really brought the concept of having a “digital garden” to life in this setup on her own side of the web.
Such a cute website! The sounds are also a nice touch 😄
One of my good close friends IRL who I talk to about coding and a bajillion other things with hehe she also writes and has a lot of cool stuff to showcase!
I’m not sure when I visited his website yesterday, might’ve been mixed with all the other links I opened before I had to stop myself from viewing other people’s sites and had to work on my own. But after checking it, I like his footer showing his last deply + the commit related to the last update on his website 😄 I think that’s neat!
I initially stumbled upon his site from an article I was reading, and loved the style of his website. I then learned afterwards that he also helps maintain the personalsit.es directory, which is cool! 😁
The first time I stumbled upon his website, I was in awe with how unique and awesome it looked like! His website looks like a digitized newspaper that’s very interactive, and is such a great flex of skill knowing that it’s also mobile responsive!!
His website is super interactive and also very cool.
Her website feels like me taking a peek in her digital notebook with so many notes and musings!
His website hosts all the different coding and art projects he’s done over the years. I particularly find the Color date picker amusing as I remember having a blast going through all the different ways you could make the worst kind of date picker for the Bad UX World Cup 😆
I’ve been following Sidebar since when I was still active in Twitter, and I figured I’d also list here the website where I get some of the things I read about design and tech via newsletter.
I follow Pavel online everywhere else, so when he announced he was going to have a newsletter, I subscribed as soon as I could 😄 I like his takes on UX and product management, and usually he says a lot of the quiet parts out loud and even links back to those who also talk about that more!
I’ve also been following Andy Bell’s works since Twitter times and also support the things they do over at Picalilli! I like reading through their posts when I have the time.
Initially encountered her blog post about the different uses for Figma variables and are interested to hear more from her 😄
I saw one article from his website about not making boring drawings and wow!! This site rocks, I’m gonna enjoy exploring this site hehe
