“… proper user research focuses on asking the right questions without leading people on.”

Good quick read that may be helpful to people in teams where some stakeholders may wonder, “what’s the point of doing user research anyway?” You can send them this article as a response 😄

Doing proper user research is its own skillset, and I admire those who respect the process that goes in doing the research, from knowing the different methods to doing them in a way that lets you unearth things you didn’t even know were there, and seeing patterns in how people interact with the products and services we’re either using now or designed as a proof-of-concept.

lots of things happening in the first few days of the year.

Kinda surreal to see photos from 10 years ago… college was 10 years ago. I’m getting old :))

these past few days, recounting 2024 has been in the back of my mind for a while 😆

but i’ve just been more in the moment as well so i keep putting it off or forgetting :)) at least i have that with me now, i have lots of memories that i can come back to when i get the chance to 😄

Happy New Year!! 😄🎉

Fields of Mistria has been a blast so far, I love the fact that it’s more forgiving in terms of combat or gathering stuff. All the characters are lovely, even the snarky ones, and there’s so much to do. 😆

Happy my partner got me this as a Christmas gift ☺️

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all who celebrate 😊🎄

having friends over really is the best kind of company ☺️❤️

TIL there’s a VR esports scene! Cool, interesting 😆

Haven’t picked up my VR headset since early this year since I have so many games yet to go through on my PC :)) But every now and then I miss a few Synth Riders sessions 😄

Feels like my headache / migraine finally went away for good, thank goodness

“Digital accessibility relies on everyone to uphold: designers, content strategists, project managers, developers, content creators, leadership, clients, stakeholders, people who inherit projects, and more.”

This article from Dana Pavlichko is a nice read and reminder for learning more about digital accessibility. Happy I got the time to read through it after saving it in my bookmarks a few weeks back 😄

Dec 5, 2024 • Wat Arun Temple

it was really majestic to see in person. But it also made me painfully aware of how flat the terrain was, due to the late morning sun (when we went) 🙈

last photo in this set was taken while we were on a river cruise along Chao Praya River and eating dinner!

A dramatic upward view of one of Wat Arun's iconic prangs (spires), showing its detailed Khmer-style architecture. The prang is decorated with intricate ceramic tiles and ornamental stuccoes in layers, with demon yaksha figures visible at its base. The spire rises against a blue sky with wispy clouds, creating a striking silhouette. Shot from below, the perspective emphasizes the tower's impressive height and detailed ornamentation.Ornate exterior detail of a Thai Buddhist temple, showing a row of gilded columns decorated with intricate traditional Thai patterns. The columns feature gold-leafed serpent (naga) designs and diamond-patterned mosaic work in gold and white against a red roof trim. The figure is decorated with intricate ceramic mosaic tiles in various colors, standing against a background of floral mosaic patterns in green, white, and gold. The ornate details of the temple's spire can be seen rising behind the yaksha against a blue sky. The low angle emphasizes the imposing nature of the guardian statue and showcases the detailed ceramic work.Sunset view of Wat Arun from across the Chao Phraya River. The temple's iconic prangs are silhouetted against a dramatic orange and golden sky with scattered clouds. The river's choppy waters reflect the sunset's warm colors, creating golden ripples in the foreground. A pier with Thai and colored flags can be seen along the riverbank. This view captures why the temple is known as the Temple of Dawn, though photographed at dusk.
