Dec 5, 2024 • Wat Arun Temple

it was really majestic to see in person. But it also made me painfully aware of how flat the terrain was, due to the late morning sun (when we went) 🙈

last photo in this set was taken while we were on a river cruise along Chao Praya River and eating dinner!

A dramatic upward view of one of Wat Arun's iconic prangs (spires), showing its detailed Khmer-style architecture. The prang is decorated with intricate ceramic tiles and ornamental stuccoes in layers, with demon yaksha figures visible at its base. The spire rises against a blue sky with wispy clouds, creating a striking silhouette. Shot from below, the perspective emphasizes the tower's impressive height and detailed ornamentation.Ornate exterior detail of a Thai Buddhist temple, showing a row of gilded columns decorated with intricate traditional Thai patterns. The columns feature gold-leafed serpent (naga) designs and diamond-patterned mosaic work in gold and white against a red roof trim. The image is shot from a low angle against a bright blue sky.Close-up view of a giant demon yaksha guardian figure at Wat Arun, shot from below. The figure is decorated with intricate ceramic mosaic tiles in various colors, standing against a background of floral mosaic patterns in green, white, and gold. The ornate details of the temple's spire can be seen rising behind the yaksha against a blue sky. The low angle emphasizes the imposing nature of the guardian statue and showcases the detailed ceramic work.Sunset view of Wat Arun from across the Chao Phraya River. The temple's iconic prangs are silhouetted against a dramatic orange and golden sky with scattered clouds. The river's choppy waters reflect the sunset's warm colors, creating golden ripples in the foreground. A pier with Thai and colored flags can be seen along the riverbank. This view captures why the temple is known as the Temple of Dawn, though photographed at dusk.

damn it i feel sick as fuck huhu this is what reporting to office does to me 😩

sucks to feel under the weather once evening comes huhuhu i have no energy left to do things 😭

One Piece latest chapter!!!! Dereshishishi 🥹🥹

i’m so sleepy but i need to go to the office 😫 post trip exhaustion 😆😅

Oh, I’ll leave this question up if ever any moots would like to share recos:

Planning to go to San Francisco, US around May next year, but still need to apply for a US Visa! I’m fixing my itinerary, any suggestions on what else to do there? (I hope) I’ll be going to #Config2025 so there’s that 😆

alright that’s enough commenting-about-work posting it’s time to focus on my trip to THAILAND see you soon BKK!!! excited to go back again, this time (1) first flight abroad with my partner + (2) first flight arranged with friends purely for vacay purposes! 😄✈️🇹🇭

If you’re gonna set a meeting with me at least read the availability times I indicated 🙃 What was the point of asking if you weren’t going to check those anyway? 🫠

I find it funny that anything discussed outside of sync calls are referred to as “discussed offline”… when we still do all our discussions on MS Teams or somewhere online anyway 😆

A remnant from pre-pandemic speak :)

Corned beef sinigang done! It tastes like sinigang, and the corned beef was yummy, added a subtle salty taste. My partner said we need to use 2 cans of corned beef next time so there’s more of it haha (Yes, the kind for breakfast normally 😆) interesting meal hehe 10/10 would eat again

A pot of corned beef sinigang with the ladle holding up a spoonful, containing kangkong, radish, onion bits, and a bit of corned beef.

im gonna test first if thread posts work on Micro.blog and elsewhere

we’re gonna try cooking corned beef sinigang……. it sounds so weird to me but it has apparently been a thing since 7-9 years ago. 😆 Weirded out but it’s sinigang so I am also excited 😄

Just watched One Piece Fan Letter 🥹🥹🥹 that was so gooood aaaaaaa huhu I loved all the references 😭😭😭

The sun has been out the past few days. Perfect time to sort thru laundry, one batch at a time 😄

lol i saw a bug in Notion while trying to save a notion page as a bookmark 😆

Also, random share, but I got a God Pack (?) yesterday while doing my usual pulls for Pokemon TCG Pocket 😆

I kept saying “wow!” after each reveal lol but it might take a while before I can utilize these in a deck 😅

Screenshot of 5 rare cards from mobile game Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket, from left to right, top to bottom: Slowpoke, Charmander, Trainer Blaine, Gloom, and Meowth.

Even if I’m very “vocal” online in terms of random musings… part of me is still scared in sharing some thoughts. Fear of judgement just kicks in too strong.

I wanna fight that tendency. I want to stop shutting myself up.

I wonder if there’s an equivalent set of guidelines of WCAG for mobile apps? Or I guess it also applies, no? 🤔

(the question also kinda extends to XR apps too, but that’s out of my scope currently 😆 my work so far has me focusing on designing solutions for mobile apps, hence the question :)) )

I also definitely need to clean my table soon lol

Telegram groups are cool so far 🤔 Let’s see if this holds up for Q4 planning for FoFPH stuff hehe :)
