Traffic was slow enough that I felt safe to whip out my phone while bike commuting and take a few videos of the state of Kalayaan Bridge, the one that links BGC and Ortigas. 😬🚲
It’s over, I found where you can play Mahjong in Yakuza: Like a Dragon 🎮 😆🀄️ watch me spend 200+ hours just playing this nyahaha
This is a lazy weekend.
I guess, with all the activity I’ve had recently, a nice break from it all.
And after I got tired a bit of the repetitiveness of 🎮 Catherine, I also started playing 🎮 Yakuza: Like a Dragon (thanks Xbox Game Pass!)
Ahh, I miss Kiryu and Majima but Ichiban is like a freshened-up Kiryu. 😆 I’ve yet to see the Majima of this game, if it would be someone else.
Started playing 🎮 Catherine Classic and… so far it seems like a simple game, despite everything else. 😆 I fully see all the remnants of Persona in this 😝 It gets challenging after a while.
sigh… net sucks again. Most likely because of the rains, but also lately it really has been getting worse.
TIL Mcdonald’s is also called “Mcdo” in France, because of this video my boyfriend linked me. 😆
My internet and Adobe Xd keeps testing my patience today… 😤
Something that’s keeping me from posting long-form posts is that when I share my site’s link, it’s not really formatted with rich-embed stuff yet.
I have the recommended way by @sod already open in my tabs, I just don’t have the time to figure out setting up everything yet 🙈
I have been eating Mcdo breakfast for the past 3 days now. Today is the 4th day. I wish I had the energy or headspace to cook, but my brain short-circuits when I try to think about cooking.
I will try again next week. Hopefully. 🙏🏻
I made an iOS Shortcut that prepares a preview-ready BlueSky link (essentially just replaces bsky.app to psky.app) in your Clipboard for easier sharing of BlueSky links that have embeds. Feel free to get this if you use BlueSky a lot.
I can now share cat photos to my boyfriend all within our chat and he gets context on what the link contains. 😆
A random discussion with a friend on what lunch they’re getting today turned out into an impromptu hangout to eat lunch together then stay at a cafe somewhere to co-work 😆
Thankful for where I’m based, and for both our folding bikes hehe
Random alt-text-related question: is the “alt text is usually less than 100 characters” statement still true to this day? I know and have seen others who have written stuff way longer than that, and even I find myself going over especially when I need to provide context.
A bit of reflection on not using Twitter anymore
I feel a bit of grief over not using or updating in Twitter anymore, but only because at some point I did work hard to get my social graph to where it is now.
But considering what I want to do now, I can afford not to have it. I now just have to make sure all my other public-facing aspects show a part of who I am, based on what I want people to see. 😊
(this is mostly work- or career-related pondering, but I recognize it can apply to simply meeting new friends online hehe)
It’s both a moment of sadness for losing something I knew as a certain way, and also a bit freeing considering the only limit to what I can do is my own imagination. 😆
So far, writing long posts with the mobile app works great, but I strain myself sometimes just writing all in the app when I could also type on my PC 🙈
I could just save drafts on Micro.blog itself then add images in mobile afterwards, if there are any to be added… 🤔
I’ll be using my Mastodon more as a dump for unfiltered thoughts. I can put content warnings there, and unlist some posts/toots.
Micro.blog is still my go-to for most sharing tendencies though, but I want to limit the doomposting I sometimes do when I’m in a low mood here. 😅
It’s only now that I really am actively removing Twitter links from my everywhere. It has devolved into something I don’t think I can make space for myself anymore.
Granted, it has been going downhill for a while, but I guess this is my goodbye post to that part of the internet.
First time bringing my trifold bike to the office. It fits nicely under the table, if I don’t have my bag attached to it 😆
Currently reading: Influence by Robert B. Cialdini, PhD 📚
Reading this as part of our newly made book club at work, since they’re encouraging all of us in the UX team to read more books. 😛
I ended up not writing about my day yesterday as I was too brain-empty to do the whole process of uploading photos to put in the post 😆 I’ll just do it when I can hahaha
